Tutoring Experience

I have over 7 years of experience in tutoring Maths, Further Maths, and Chemistry, tutoring at GCSE, A Level and IB levels. My students were as young as 10, all the way up to 63.

I have helped students significantly improve their grades, pass their university exams in chemistry, get into Oxford University for Medicine, and into Cambridge University for Economics.

The reason I can prepare students so well is because for the past two years I have also been an examiner, setting and marking chemistry and maths exams.

Lastly, I do not only teach in the UK. Many students come to me from universities and schools in the USA, Hong Kong, China, and Australia.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is customised to the student. For students who need help with passing exams or university interviews, I adopt a fast-paced approach where I cover the whole syllabus in a short amount of time, covering every aspect of the subject.

A lot of focus is given on answering questions and improving exam/interview technique. For students who want to learn, or need to improve their grades, I take a slower approach.

The lessons will focus on truly understanding the science and maths, as well as making the lessons more fun. I do not believe in dry and boring lessons like many have in school, where you are only given the information in a sterile environment. I focus on my students actually enjoying the subject. And if they do not fully understand a concept, I will happily spend as much time as is needed to help them progress. All of my lessons are also taught using a whiteboard, and are very interactive.

This approach is the reason why many of my students have managed to not only improve their grades, but get into Oxford and Cambridge.
