Tutoring Experience
I have tutored GCSE and primary school level English and assisted with personal statements for a variety of subjects. This resulted in positive exam results and university offers. I have also helped with Oxbridge entrance exam and interview prep.
Tutoring Approach
For the ELAT (Oxbridge English entrance exam), I will teach the style of language analysis practiced by Oxbridge students as admissions tutors will be looking for this style of writing in exam scripts. I will set practice essays for marking and go through example papers.
For GCSE and A Level English I will go through past paper questions with the student and help them to recognize how their answers are reflecting the mark scheme. I will go through the best style of language analysis and essay structure.
For Oxbridge interview prep I will set up mock interviews, teaching the student what kind of questions they can expect and how to answer them.
