Tutoring Experience

Since 2019, I've been a tutor, amassing over 300 hours of online instruction primarily in Maths, Economics, and Accounting.

I earned my BSc in Economics, Finance, and Management from Queen Mary, University of London, achieving first-class honours, an equivalent to an A*. With over five years of professional experience in investment banking, investment management, and consulting, I've gained valuable insights into the practical application of theoretical knowledge. This real-world experience allows me to offer unique support to individuals and students aiming for careers in finance and banking. I also review personal statements and assist with interview preparations.

I've taught a variety of courses to students at different educational levels. My pupils have pursued IGCSE, GCSE, A Level and International Baccalaureate in Maths, Further Maths, Economics, Business Studies, and Accounting.

For university students, I've instructed in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, International Finance, Corporate Strategy, as well as Futures and Options. Furthermore, I've also provided adult instruction on topics such as Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Financial Modelling.

I've got a friendly and flexible approach to teaching, while focusing on the "why" and tailoring the content to fit your personal style and goals.

I can help you prepare with little notice ahead of an exam; I've had to teach a whole module in 3 days given the student did not manage to prepare during the term.

On the other hand, I can also plan long term (1+ year) to find the method that works best for you. I am fully aware that people have different personalities so they learn in different ways. This is why I make use of quizzes, online activities and creative platforms to make sure the knowledge stays with you and that you also enjoy the process (even if you'd need to study Accounting!).

My focus is on making sure you get the highest mark possible, but I also want you to remember what you learn. It's key that you understand why are you studying a topic in the first place and how it is relevant to the word we live in. I use practical examples, alongside the formal curriculum, in order to strengthen the knowledge base and make it easy to recall information in the long term.
