Tutoring Experience

I am a Chemical and Biological Engineering student at Princeton University with a 4.0 GPA and high standardized test scores. I have a passion for both teaching and STEM-related subjects! In high school, I was Head of the Tutoring Program as well as personally tutored students in Math, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science. I was also a Teaching Assistant for the EPIC Coding Camp at the University of New Hampshire. I have experience tutoring my peers for AP Exams as well as for standardized tests. As an organized and driven student, I feel as though I have developed useful study methods that have not only helped me, but also my classmates.

For STEM-related topics, my approach is to focus on the process behind how to solve the problems as well asprovidehelpful study techniques. I go over theconceptsone at a time and work with the student to make sure that they understandand can explain the conceptsback to me.I provide practice problems and assess which areas the student needs to work on.We all learn in different ways, and my goal is to find the best way to help you to succeed. I encourage active participation and providemy support along the way.

SAT Tuition Approach

The best typeof preparation for standardized tests is learning the repetitive structure of the problems through practice. The SAT has similar types of questions that come up often, and I will focus on how to recognize these patterns and solve these problems. I will also emphasizebreaking down the exam-maker’s specific logic in order to create a better sense of intuition for the type of answers that they want. I am here to ease the process of understanding how these types of tests work and how to succeed when taking them.

Admissions Tuition Approach

Iadvise students onhow to prepare for an admissionsinterviewas havingsuccessfully completed Ivy League interviews myself. I run mock interviews with the student, providing feedback and tips on how to improve. I also go over what to expect at interviews and the kinds of questions that the interviewers like to ask.
