Tutoring Experience
I have taught KS3, KS4 (Edexcel IGCSE) and A-Level (OCR) Geography for four years at Guildford High School for girls, a top independent school.
I have consistently achieved outstanding results in my classes, with 95% of my students achieving a grade 9 at GCSE level. I have also assisted students in their applications to study Geography at Oxford and Cambridge, through hosting extension reading groups and mock interviews.
Tutoring Approach
I am passionate about designing lessons that are engaging and inspiring, addressing the individual needs of pupils and stretching them to their full potential.
My lessons involve a range of different activities to keep my students stimulated and engaged, including quizzes, games, discussion and reading and writing tasks.
I regularly use scaffolded structures, checklists and model answers in order to teach my students what is required to gain full marks for each type of exam question
