Tutoring Experience
I have 6 years of tutoring experience, have taught a range of subjects at GCSE level in the past, however I now prefer to specialise in teaching English (any level: 11+, GCSE, ESL...) and foreign languages, more precisely French and German (any level, incl. university prep), to students of any age and level. My typical lesson duration is 1-1.5 hours, but I like to customise my teaching methodology and lesson length in accordance with my students' academic/personal goals.
Tutoring Approach
I enjoy the subjects I teach a lot and always thrive to learn more about them so that I can do an even better job when working with my students! I am always on the lookout for new teaching methodologies and content and I’ve reached a stage where I teach English at almost any level, including 11+ Comprehension, GCSE, ESL, Creative Writing, as well as SPaG and business English.
When it comes to the Modern Languages, I enjoy teaching at any level, but I find it especially great and inspiring helping my students revise or prepare for their exams. I am especially passionate about Economics, as it is a subject that I do not pursue at university but do the most to keep up with independently by gaining finance-related work experience and taking part in various training programmes. In order to transfer my knowledge to my students in the best and most efficient way possible, I offer tutorials that cover content, exam technique and exam practice.
I always aim to challenge my students by quizzing them and identifying any areas that might require extra support, whilst also practicing the topics they are already good at to encourage participation and engagement.
