I graduated with honours from UC Berkeley, earning a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering in May 2020. I am currently applying to medical school, thus I am well-equipped to offer guidance on the application process. Although my strengths reside in STEM subjects, I am also keen to assist with reading and writing skills. I possess a thorough understanding of standardised testing and am eager to help students enhance their scores.

Tutoring Experience
I have offered private tutoring for 6 years in the SAT and in various math and science subjects. I then worked for my university’s tutoring center for two years where I tutored various engineering subjects.
I have taught all levels of math including Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus (I & II), Multivariable Calculus, and Linear Algebra. For science, I have taught materials science, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biology. I have also tutored for the SAT and helped my students raise their scores by 200 points. I also took the MCAT recently, and scored above the 97th percentile. I self-taught myself for the MCAT and am happy to help others prepare for their own medical journeys.
Tutoring Approach
Maths and Sciences: I typically like to review each topic with my students and go over a few example problems before helping with homework or exam preparation. For higher level math, it is more important for me to follow the textbook regimen, but with science, I can provide resources for teaching subjects.
SAT & MCAT: For these standardized tests, it is important to go through a lot of practice problems. With the SAT, there are similar types of questions that we will always see, so I will teach students to recognize these sorts of problems. The MCAT is more knowledge based, so similar to my maths & sciences approach, we will do concept review before practicing with exam questions.
